i know this amp...but it is super expensive like USD$7500. I am kinda tired of this kind of promotion. The Abyss was firstly best paired with LAu. But after I auditioned the LAu(not with abyss though), it is just a so so amp. It surely didn't worth $7000 at first, thus cavali dropped the price to $4000. What a scheme!
I am sure the headtrip is way better than the cavali as well audio comes from the hi-end audio background. The head trip is actually a dual mono in one chassis which is quite impressive. But i am done with the headphone amp already. If i have extra cash to splash, i will upgrade my source first. Aurender would be my top of the list. And i would like to try the totaldac as well. My ultimate dac would be the Gryphon Kalliope, but it is far far ahead.
Sorry for hijacking this post, i would give my brief HE1000 impression probably in this weekend. I would be very happy if the HE1000 surprises me. It would save me a lot!

I haven't tried to upgrade the cable. Maybe I will try in future. Yes, most people don't like ultrasone. But they should try signature pro. It's very nice to meet you, Snormal Ching!
As for he1000, its sound is quite physical，a bit lazy and comfortable. It offers a feel of "you are there". However, the size of imaging is too big for my taste. Apart from this, I would buy a he1000 for myself.
